The RAB is funded by UK Commercial Radio stations and provides a free, impartial and confidential service to national advertisers and their agencies to help guide them towards effective advertising on Commercial Radio.

The RAB’s areas of activity include:
  • Media Planning Services: media plans, advice and analysis for media planners
  • Case Studies: over 200 examples of the effective use of radio advertising (now also available on WARC.com)
  • Consultancy: experienced consultants providing strategic help and advice on radio advertising
  • Radio Ads: access to all national radio advertisements via www.radio-ads.co.uk
  • Events: an annual conference and regular media seminars and creative workshops
  • Publications: guides to different aspects of Commercial Radio, the Understanding Radio compendium as well as a range of other specialist publications
  • Radio Marketplace: quarterly reports on Commercial Radio revenues and audiences, regularly updated digests of industry forecasts and monthly updates on the main advertisers, brands, buying points and product sectors on Commercial Radio
  • Stations Information: a database of sales and stations information
  • Training: specially tailored seminars for media planners and buyers, account handlers and national advertisers
